Love this company and product
I just recently found Namaste in the past year or so. But every single one of their products I tried has been fantastic. I have bought them over and over and over again. For someone with 21 food allergies, it’s hard to find any product in the baking or bread realm That I can actually buy and eat safely. I had not had a muffin, pancake, or pizza crust in years until I found this brand. It’s been so nice to have an option. The products are quality. You get a good quantity and they don’t skimp on the amount of product per box. If you follow the directions, everything turns out great. Lots of room for modifications.I can’t have eggs, so I use ground flax and water. Because these are sugar free, you could make a sweet muffin and add your favorite sweetness such as brown sugar, honey, or maple syrup. Or you could go savory, which is fun, with olive oil, garlic, onion, etc. I like to play around with it and try new combos. It’s a great base. If you’re worried about trying the products by this company, I don’t think you should be. I think they taste great and are easy to use. You should definitely give it a try.

READ OTHER AMAZON REVIEWS BEFORE BAKING!
READ OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE BAKING! If only I had read the many reviews here that include tips to add extra liquid, sweetener, mix-ins, etc, I would have saved wasting the first box. Yes - if you buy something labeled "No Sugar Added", you should expect a product that is *not sweet*. But this stuff *is* dry and and stiff. It has more of a biscuit texture. Adding extra water helps a *bit* but I am looking forward to trying it with either maple syrup, agave, applesauce, or mashed banana as others here have mentioned. Overall, it has a palatable flavor that will work well as a base for experimenting with. If you are new to GF products and/or GF baking, please realize there are many options available to you. Some GF products are not *healthy*. This one *is* and it tastes like it. I am looking forward to trying the many variations other reviewers here have shared. And the price for 6 here on Subscribe and Save is a real deal.UPDATE: I have continued experimenting with this mix and continue to be pleased with how versatile it is. If you want to increase the rise, use some acid. I have found that lemon juice or even lemon oil extract works well. I use about 2 TB agave syrup as well for sweetness. The texture of the mix is not as cake-like as some others but because of that, it accepts a variety of mix-ins pretty well. It can accommodate increasing liquid without making it runny. If you do not increase liquid or add acid, the texture is almost more like a drop biscuit. Which leads me to my next experiment...using these to make a savory biscuit/muffin something along the lines of cheddar & onion. I am increasing my rating to 5 stars because for what this product actually is and for all the infinite possibilities for adapting the recipe, it serves really well. Consider this a base mix meant for adding on to rather than a vanilla or white cake muffin mix.

Good for the price
After reading several reviews stating they were not moist enough or sweet enough, I decided to try them anyway since they cost much less than my usual brand. I followed the directions, which do call for your sweetener of choice, but allow you to add none. My husband is diabetic so I used agave as sweetener. Since agave is also a liquid, I expected it to help with the dryness as well. As per my usual baking method, I also added some applesauce in addition to the other liquids called for. With no other additions, I thought the muffins came out very well. They were moist and tasty. After the third day they had dried out a bit, I should have microwaved the one remaining muffin before eating it. My family obviously liked them evidenced by them disappearing quickly. In my next batch, I may add more applesauce or mashed banana, and blueberries or chocolate chips. I recommend these.

Finally! I don’t have to make my muffins from scratch.
Gluten free and sugar free! Use juice, stevia, monk fruit, honey, date sugar… whatever sweetener you wish. You definitely need to add a sweetener. I use flaxseed instead of eggs (allergic) which doesn’t work as well, but I still enjoy them. Expensive but worth it to me.

These muffins need some help...a LOT of help!
I made a batch of these muffins today. Since the mix is sugar free I figured I could add a cinnamon streusel topping. Thank goodness I did. These muffins are very bland. And the dough is gummy once it's mixed. I've just read some of the other reviews here and will try some of their tips. (Wish I had done that BEFORE I made this first batch.) I had ordered a case of this product which means I have 5 more bags! Disappointed because we really like the Namaste Spice cake mix. Oh well. Hopefully the hints that others have provided will produce a better batch next time.

Awesome!
This is like the Bisquick of the gluten free world. It's so versatile - can be used for both sweet or savory type bites. Really satisfied my bread craving and allowed me to be creative with my ingredients. It made 6 large muffins perfectly!

Sooo dry
Hi.. I understand that gluten-free and sugar-free isn't going to be exactly the most delicious thing in the world however... Unless you're eating immediately Out of the oven it completely turns to cardboard. So disappointed. I even added olive oil and mayonnaise because other reviews warned of dryness.. Do not understand why they turn to sword us so quickly..

Two tumbs up!
I love this product! In fact, I've signed up for a monthly delivery of 6 packages each time. This is the best muffin mix I've found that gives me a light, fluffy muffin without gluten.I always add a variety of fruits or nuts each time I make the muffins. I've even added sautéed breakfast sausage meat and grated cheese to the mix. Delicious! I always add enough add-ins to make 12 large muffins. Being this is a sugar-free mix I do add about 1/4 cup of Agave nectar if I want the muffins on the sweet side, especially if I use fresh cranberries.I highly recommend this mix for anyone that is gluten intolerant. Our family loves the end result...and I do too!
