At 3 something bucks, this book is really priceless.
A 3 something bucks, this book is really priceless and gave me a lifetime lesson. I really believe in our heritage but this book taught me that practicing it isn't that difficult either. All while being her funniest, Rajuta really made one of the finest all in one book to follow to better the health of our kids. I have constantly found myself laughing out loud and saying to myself "thats true" throughout reading this book. Wonderful step towards better health for my family

Must Read for Indian Parents
This book is a must read for all indian parents. It clears up so many myths and lets parents make peace with what and how much their kids want to eat. Please read this before pestering your kid to eat more or eat with a device.

EVERY PARENT OF KIDS BELOW AGE 15 MUST READ.
DO U WANT YOUR KID TO BE HEALTHY ?"""""'''""""”"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""My viwes on Rujuta Diwekar's book titled NOTES FOR HEALTHY KIDS.First thing first... Every parent of kids below 15 age must read it. Beside guidlines to raise healthy kids, its useful to parents for own well-being & healthy life style.Yessss its boring book. But remembr u hv to read for its BENIFITS & NOT FOR ENTRTANMENT. May be i felt boring bcz i hv read 4 to 5 of her books & so i found few things repetitive. For entertainment, u may read story (Fiction) books or go for movies or music concerts.I herebelow mention 4 basic points fm books which appealed me most & are soul of book.......👉 (1) Its important to be FRIEND with your child. But plenty of time left to be FRIEND when child attains ADULTHOOD. *But when they r young kids, just be PARENT : Lead them, guide them, etc...👉 (2) Book supports my all time favourite quote on parenting.. "Don't worry that children never listen to you ; worry that they are always watching you."👉 ( 3 ) Its good to hv right school & right board. But to hv RIGHT ENVIRONMENT AT HOME is more important thn that. Also its important hv school near to house. *Far away schools steals 2 to 4 most important playing hours of small kids.👉 (4) 90% parents compain that their child doesn't eat Vegetables, Fruits, this dish & that dish. 2 best solutions for these problems are .👉 (i) Engage kids in cooking, arranging plates, packing school dabba, Shopping of grocerries, Selecting fruits & vegetables , planning of weekly menu etc.. 👉(ii) Take them to local farms at least twice a year. Show them hanging live fruits & vegetbls. Let them witness harvesting of Rice, Tur dal, wheat, sugarcane etc. I bet they wil start eating all vegetables, fruits & cereals if followed above 2 points.

Ok ish
This book is ok. Personally the language is not well written. The order doesn't flow great. The book would have been better should there have been some recipes. Also I read it in one day on kindle. It's a very short book almost like a magazine!

Well structured, well addressed
Well structured, covered all aspects regarding kids nutritionCan be better if one language (English )is used so that can be referred to non- Indians as some chapters are applied to all parents all over the world..but overall wonderful book

Annoying book
She has just lectured through the entire book which sensible parents already know of. There are no recipes whatsover. She says it’s ok if kids don’t drink milk...instead they can eat Ragi or Moringa. Really? They taste worse. And how much of Ragi is equivalent to a glass of milk is not mentioned. So what’s the point of her book. And she gives random food option of rice salt ghee if the kid doesn’t eat dal???? Her language is so bossy and it’s so irritating that she hasn’t used capital I but small i throughout the book. Is that to look cool🙄 Very disappointed with the book. Kavita Devgan’s books are far superior.

Total wastage
Nothing new in this book as an educated human does not know in these days..does not expected by author...she does not disclose the necesaary things about babies...kids.. infact its just a stupid lecture in which no one has intrest in these busy days.. total wastage of money... during conceiving till now as mi baby is 11 month old ..i get more knowldge then this book has... so madam author plz write a book which really have something helpful to our coming genertaion

Why should you buy this book?
If you believe in conscious parenting then this book is the missing piece of the puzzle. If you are thinking whether you are wasting money then you are wasting time and missing the best thing that you can do for your kid.

Don't waste money

Author's work is quite restrained
As much as I love Rujuta's practical insight drawn from age old wisdom, this book seemed impractical for current circumstances. Her suggestions are quite idealistic, perhaps applicable for a certain class of people. I wish she considers all segments of population along with their living context, while offering advice, particularly about physical activities for children.

Once again great book by Rujuta.
Rujuta has written not only about kids nutrition but also wellbeing of our environment and importance of our native food, culture and tradition.

Average
Average book. If you are looking for nutritional and dietary information maybe not the best , possibly a good one in the Indian market. It has a lot more of "gyan" than nutritional information . Her first book was good. I would recommend this only to people who really do not read much about food and would like to start doing so. If you read a lot on food , diet etc this book is not a great read. She could cut down on all the parental guidance because nobody can teach parenting ,you can only learn skills. And this book doesn't come under parenting. Point to note Video games are not bad all the time, there are benefits to it provided screen time is limitedLittle disappointed

Great effort and nice narration
It's a good book for those who want to take care of their kids and ready to spend some time in kitchen. Those mom's who want to find shortcuts and blame the kid for a bad appetite stay away. This book emphasizes more on traditional cooking and not on advertised product and ready to eat meals.Great book with information on nutritional value of food and an age wise guide for planning meals to feed your kid. But kids do what parents do. So you have to first start eating healthy if you want your kid to choose healthy food.
