Good motors for the price
So far they work great. Just have to know and what to mount them to and make sure they have Air flow so they don't get too Hot. I've seen several posts while searching for motors about them just stopping or burning up, but i think it's because people mount them directly to wood which is an insulator.

Easy to install replacement motor.
I bought this to replace the color wheel motor on our fiber optic Christmas tree. The original motor had stopped turning the color wheel so the tree was stuck with one color. If you are replacing the motor for this or other applications, itβs important to order the correct motor. This particular model is a 12V AC motor NOT 12V DC. You can find out by looking carefully at the original motor. It is essential to order the correct one. Also, there are many different ones available so check the size, length of the shaft and the spacing of the mounting screw holes.Once you get the correct one, the install is quick and easy. It came with an easy-clip wire connector that makes quick work of wiring it up without the need for a soldering iron. This fixes my otherwise good fiber optic tree that should now last for several more years. The order came with two motors and two clips but was relatively inexpensive. Much cheaper than buying a new fiber optic tree.

Not what is in the box!
Needed a TYC30 but the 40 is all that is available. Supposed to be quiet and only 1-2 amps so I moved the mounting posts and put in an order.Motors arrive and is marked as 4 watts, double what was advertised. I go ahead and install in a fiber optic train. It ran OK the first night though the light was dimmer than the others because of the extra power drain (4 watts). Started getting noisy the second evening, a ticking sound. Third evening the sound got loud enough to be really annoying and I shut it off. Motor was very hot will not use again.

Good for the price mostly.
So the pvc adapters didn't work for 3/4 pvc schedule 40 or 1/2 pvc schedule 40, so instead of using the ones it came with I purchased threaded pvc plugs ($.82 each from home depot) and drilled a hole in the center for the screw to attach to the motor. I also put the threaded pvc plugs on the top of my box for the motors for spare rod drying areas. I also got threaded pvc fittings for the rods so they were easily removable but sturdy enough via the threads to not come loose.Wiring was easy because ac motors don't matter polarity. I tried to swap polarity to see if it mattered for motor direction because I used threaded I wanted them to go in the right direction so they don't loosen but polarity doesn't matter. It's random for direction since it's 2 phase electric motor. Just depends on which phase picks up first when u turn it on just in case anyone was curious. The electrical connectors it comes with really suck, just use wire nuts instead and you won't have a problem.

No INSTRUCTIONS Included
This order arrived as a bag of parts. NO INSTRUCTIONS WHATSOEVER!!!!! How the heck am I supposed to know what to do with these things??? I looked on YouTube, Googled the product and I found nothing. I ended up going to Home Depot and speaking with a Contractor I found there but I was at my wits end about what to do. It is obviously a product that NEEDS instructions, it's a bunch of random parts! Once I figured out how to use them, everything came together well, even though I bought a higher grade of PVC piping because the ones that came with the item were pretty flimsy.

Fit my Need with a little modification
I ordered these to replace a motor in a fiber optic decoration. I knew that the shaft was too long, but I couldn't find one shorter so I ordered these. After taking a hacksaw to the shaft to make it the length that I needed, it was a drop in replacement. Decoration is working, wife is happy, life is good.
