Fire Sense Copper Finish Table Top Round Halogen Patio Heater

I really like this heater. I've only had it a few days. It was easy to assemble. All you need is a phillips screw driver. They supply a 10mm wrench. First of all, it's huge. It's not really table size, like a lamp. They will fit on a table, but unless it's a coffee table or a dinner table, they won't fit. I have it on my porch. They are very heavy, and very solid construction. I don't know about the paint peeling, but it's on a screened in porch, so I'm not really worried about it. It's halogen, so it doubles as a light. You can read by it, it's bright enough, but casts as soft orange glow, like those 70's heat lamps, so it's not blinding. It's great for ambiance. It's currently 59 degrees out at night. My porch is is 80. I ordered two, because reviewers said it wasn't hot enough, and sent the second one back. it cost I think $28 to ship it back, but considering the weight, it's a bargain. The two switches are covered in silicone, so no worries about the rain. I'm not sure what my electric bill will be, but I'll edit this if it's ridiculously high. I just noticed it got colder, but the front door is open, and it's only 68 inside, so that explains it. I saw lower ratings here, but much higher ratings at Lowe's and Home Depot. It's $50 cheaper on Amazon than Home Depot.

Just got it, easy assembly, package very well. Works good. So why 3 stars only?Not infrared as description says, it is Halogen. Tempted to return but it did produce good heat, so I am keeping it.

This heater is exactly what I was looking for. It is what I have been looking for in an electric heater and couldn't be happier....BUT, the color is not what I expected it to be, but, spray paint will fix that!!! (High heat spray paint of course)

You have to sit right on top of this heater to feel any heat, I would not recommend it for a patio

We bought this for our housewarming party. We have a rooftop terrace, but temperatures have gone down here in DC now that it's late in September, so we needed an outdoor heater that is not too big. We bought a commercial patio heater before and that was way too big and tall. So we looked for a table top heater that didn't need propane gas. This heater is good, just need to plug it in, and it works. It was in the high 50s last night and we set it up on a coffee table. Guests were seated on a 7'x7' outdoor sectional. It gives a good amount of heat. Everyone was enjoying themselves at our party. It served it's purpose. We are looking forward to entertaining in the fall.

I live in Phoenix AZ, and during the winter the nights can a little chilly and I thought this would take the chill out of our seating area on the patio. Well, I was disappointed to find at even 60 degrees it helped very little. It appeared to light up the entire area like a Huge lamp. We'll there went our night privacy. So if you want a bright light this is for you, otherwise stay away from this product. It was easy to assemble and the quality was OK, this is the only reason for 2 stars.

Heater is missing missing power cord rubber base. Have made numerous calls to customer service requesting missing part. Have provided vendor with purchase info, but have not been able to have missing part shipped.

I wasn't expecting miracles -- just a little extra heat so I could sit on my deck on days when the breeze was a bit too cool. This does NOT do the trick. It says it generates "infrared heat unaffected by wind" but any little breeze negates the very small amount of heat this thing puts out. That's surprising, especially given its huge size. I thought a "tabletop" heater would be roughly lamp-sized, but this thing is BIG. But even sitting at my table on the deck, with this heater in the middle, on a 60-degree day, trying to read with my book and hands on the table, my hands were too cold. Occasionally the sun broke through and my hands immediately warmed up -- much more so than from the heater. And that was with the heater set on HIGH.Don't waste your money. I fully expected to love this heater, and was looking forward to extending my precious deck time. Instead, I have to take it apart, repack it, and send it back. It's certainly not worth the $170 I paid. I wouldn't keep it if it was free.
