I should have not expected much for $5.00, but these things are so cheaply made and so this that they did not even survive the install process. While trying to put in the first screw, the screw fell over and hit the plastic edges and shattered the surrounding area. At that point it was no longer usable. One the second one, I managed to get the screw in, and then when I folded open the bracket to put the roll of paper towels on it, the plastic split right where the screw was which was right next to the pivot point of the bracket.

UPDATED... 2 days an already broken. Dont waste your money. ... For some reason I was expecting to get 2 holders in this order. The one I received was marked 'sold as a set of 2'. But I must have read it wrong. Oh well...its only $3.99. Much less sturdy than the holder it replaced but seems to be doing its job. And just to reiterate... it's a plastic paper towel holder for $3.99...you get what you pay for.

This was a total waste of money. This thing is so flimsy it feels like it cost about 10 cents to make. It's going straight in the garbage, what a waste of money and Amazon should be ashamed for letting such low quality products be sold on their site!

If you're looking for a paper towel holder like the old days (50's, 60's, 70's, 80's) then you've found it! Simple design, easy to install and works as expected! Holds the paper towels and lets you rip one at a time...LOL!

Spacing between mounting holes is less than its replacement. This meant I had to drill an extra hole.Item is very flimsy and does not sit flush on wall. Had to put a folded paper shim under the bottom right corner so it wouldn't flex when tearing off a sheet.Also: Space between holder arms is rather tight, making the arms bend outward with a towel roll in place. This puts pressure on their attachment joints which will likely make them fail. My original one last 20 years before that happened. I envision this lasting way less than that.Not really worth the money, but getting it on-line saved me the time looking for a better one.

This item is made out of very thin plastic. It only came with one screw to mount it. It was unable to hold new roll of paper towels tightly. The roll just fell off/out when trying to pull off a sheet of paper toweling. We needed a rack with collapsible arms, which I thought this one had by the looks of the picture. But due to the thin plastic, even if the arms would collapse, I’m pretty sure it would not hold up. I returned this item immediately.

I bought this paper towel holder to replace our old one, which (after 20+ years) broke. I guess I thought all holders were the same, and a standard size. However, this one will not hold large/jumbo sized rolls. I have to set our roll of paper towels on the counter and use half of it up before I can put it on the holder. I have done this for several months, and since I am getting really tired of doing that, I plan to replace it very soon.

Holder is so narrow that it jams paper towel roll so it won't dispense a paper towel when pulled. It needs to be 4 mm wider so it doesn't pinch/bind up the paper towel roll. I will be discarding this and purchasing another one.
