I purchased these wondering just how well they would work with Alexa since they also come with their own WiFi app. Well, the answer to that question is: THEY WORK GREAT!I compared the brightness (the best I can) with a non-WIFI bulb of the same power and color. Both are supposed to be 2700k in color and 9W in power. Although my photo doesn't really show it well, the smart bulb is ever-so-slightly dimmer at full power and perhaps just a tiny bit yellower. This can only be noticed when put side-by-side with another LED bulb. I don't have any metering equipment to say for certain whether it's dimmer or whether my other is brighter, but rest assured that the lamp is nice and bright for regular use.They were surprisingly easy to install:1. Screw the bulb into a lamp or socket.2. Turn them on and off four times.3. Wait about 2 seconds and they start flashing, which means they are in pairing mode.4. Add the "Smart Life" skill in Alexa and find bulbs.5. That's it! Ask Alexa to turn on or off the lamp (or dim the lights) and it does!These are a great value considering the Amazon smart plug which costs $25 will only turn your lamp on or off. I know the smart plug can be used for other things, but if you're looking to control lights -- I recommend going with WIFI lamps. These smart bulbs are a much better value and can even do various levels of dimming.

YES, YOU DO NEED ACESS TO A SMART PHONE TO SET UP THE ALEXA ENABLE LIGHTS.EVERYONE DOES NOT HAVE A SMART PHONE, NOT ALL SENIORS DO . YOU NEED TO DOWN LOAD BOTH THE ALEXA APP AND THE MANUFACTURE`S APP TO YOUR PHONE. YES, YOU DO HAVE TO REGISTER AND OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THE MANUFACTURE FIRST AND WHEN YOU OPEN THE APP AND PLACE YOUR WIFI SECURITY NO. IN YOU CAN SCAN FOR THE BULBS BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE RESETTED THEM FIRST. THEN OPEN THE ALEXA APP AND MAKE SURE THE SMART HOME SECTION IS ENABLE. THEN GO TO SKILLS AND DO A SEARCH FOR THE MANUFACTURE AND ENABLE THEM.AT THAT POINT JUST FOLLOW ALEXA QUESTIONS AND LET HER ACCESS THE MANUFACTURE APP. IF THIS SOUNDS CONFUSING YOU ARE RIGHT. CUSTOMER SERVICE COULD NOT HELP THEY JUST SAID TO RETURN IT. HOWEVER, I AM DISABLED AND A SENIOR AND I REALLY WANT THE CONVIENCE OF ALEXA ENABLED BLUBS. LADIES AND GENTELMEN WITH VERY LITTLE ASSISTANCE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE I WILL BE KEEPING THE LIGHTS BECAUSE I FIGURED IT OUT ALL BY MYSELF.

These are my first smart bulbs. I installed at front and back porch and both sides of my garage. I bought on 2-pk first to make sure they worked well. I was sold as soon as I scheduled my lights to turn on and off at certain times. Easy to install. Had the issue of having 5g internet. They wouldn’t connect to the app. I then added a guest WiFi login which turns into the 2.5g, then voila, it worked! I LOVE the smart bulbs. I get gone late, so knowing that my lights will be on makes me feel safe. I have pets, so the idea of them being in the dark is no bueno. I can control the indoor lights such as the lamps in my living room and bedroom from the app. It’s instantaneous. They turn on immediately. I have Alexa and she is also connected to the bulbs. I’m buying these bulbs for my hallway and kitchen next. Worth the money—-can’t put a price on ease of mind. Definitely recommend these bulbs. So far I’ve had them a month, no issues. Also, you can choose how bright you want them!

The bulb was very easy to set up in the SmartLife app. Install, power up the socket, touch the bulb itself to put into set-up (flashing), and add it to the app. The only oddity during this process is that the dimmer function doesn't work via the SmartLife app when you first set it up.I then added it to Google Home and I had no problems at all. I can turn it on/off and dim it via app or voice without a problem. (TIP: Don't name your bulbs too similarly. If you call more than one "lamp" be sure they are in different "rooms")The bulb does not flicker. The color is perfectly "warm" white, probably about 2800K range. The bulb does not flicker when dimmed all the way down to 1%. The bulb does not get overly hot at 100%.So far, I am very impressed and do recommend these. I do wish that they were available at higher lumens (e.g. 1500L) If I encounter any issues with it I will try to update this review.

I had both lights setup and integrated with my Google Mini within about 5 minutes of opening the box. You do need a third party app called “Smart Life” and you need to create an account with them. This app is used for the initial light bulb setup and your Smart Life account is linked to Google to integrate with Google Home. You can control the bulbs independently, or together, through the Google Home app, with voice commands, or setup timers and routines.The only downside I found is that the bulbs dim in intervals (I’m guessing 10% but I didn’t play around with them to find out exactly). This isn’t really a problem for me as I just wanted the voice controls and on/off functionality, but it is something to consider if you need or want precise light levels and smooth transitions.Overall I'm very happy with these bulbs. I remodeled my house a few years ago and paid $6 to $10 per bulb for regular LEDs, so this seems like a fantastic price for a smart bulb!
