The Power of Positive Thinking for Young People

This was the one book that revolutionized my thinking in 10th grade when I checked it out of the library to read while in study hall at my high school back in the late 1970s. Note: This is the book expressly written for "young people" & not the similarly titled best seller that was written for adults. That book was good, too. The book is currently out of print but I would recommend you get a copy anyway. They don't write 'em this good anymore.

Great book!

I had to write a review after seeing all the negative comments about the book being “God heavy” or too focused on God. That’s what happens when you read a book by this author. He’s a well known ordained Methodist minister who has an advanced degree in Theology. Everything he wrote or spoke about was related to God. If you don’t want to learn techniques about positivity rooted in spirituality then this author is not for you. It’s incumbent upon you to research an author before being so disappointed. As for the book itself, it is excellent! It gently guides the reader through various techniques to become more positive but because Dr Peale was interested in psychology he focuses on using the positivity to overcome depression and anxiety among so much more. This little book has changed many lives. I highly recommend it especially in the current circumstances of the world. If you can get past the God stuff you may find it’s very helpful.

I was looking for a book written for younger children. The book I received was for adults.Norman Vincent Peale is one of the BEST MOTIVATORS ever. I have most of his books,this review is about not receiving the book as shown.

Great, delivery was fast and easy.

We can summarize this book in a few words: believe in God, read the bible and pray. If you don't speak English there is no hope for you, because you will be unable to use the "magical" English words to bring peace to your mind. If you are not Christian... well sorry for you, apparently there is no other way to improve your life other than believe in Jesus Christ. THIS BOOK IS SOOO BAD! Refunded.
