Just ordered our 2nd!!
We just moved into the home we built on the edge of the city (in a new development)... Our allergens:1) Ragweed in nearby fields2) Red dusty dirt in the wind/breeze (west Texas can get windy. Haboob, anyone?)3) Cotton harvesting/ ginning4) New House smell (paints/ adhesives)This filter has successfully removed the majority of the smells inside the house, as well as the one time I burnt a tortilla. Warning, it WILL ALSO remove candle scents. Sad, but at least I know the thing is effective. Allergy meds were not working for us, but with the filter, we are getting relief from the meds. That's saying a lot, since we are literally surrounded by ragweed--tall as a car--until it freezes and dies. We think this filter is worth every cent. It says to change every 3 months, but because of the overload of dirt in our air, we are going to change it at 4-6 weeks. Too many reviews on high-quality filters say it taxed their A/C/ furnace for us not to be on the safe side.
