This Extended selfie stick, mono pod thingy, whatever you wish to call it is absolutely brilliant.It does however take time to get used to friction based opening, extending, closing.At first I was constantly pinching my fingers in the segments, causing much frustration 🫤However I quickly learned that using a bottle opening technique was the best way around this problem. Twisted to loosen then Extend or restract. You can also just pull dowm to unextend if you wish but beware of fingers on the segments as they do pinch!My main reason for buying this was for as a remote shutter pole for my Compact slr, abd as a Extending pole for my Insta 360 X3 Camera. The latter was used way more on a recent road trip in USA, which saw allot of daily use, atleast 20 times a day for 3 weeks, extended, unextended, through sunny days and down to -10c! through the Rocky mountains, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana etc.I took this off road, fully extended at upto 40mph, using the doorcard and my arm to secure with the pole straight up vertical, while flexible it never broke or splintered.Having the thread at the bottom I was able to add a tripod attachment and weights to ensure my 360 camera didn't fall over in the gusts of wind up the mountains.I'll aim to upload pictures later once more organised.All in all a brilliant bit if kit, easy to use, light, durable and half the price of the official Insta 3m extended pole.

Avoid at all costs - doesn’t lock when extended - slips and collapses - useless

Due to it extending a lot, it can be hard to put it back in place after use. I suggest starting the contraction process from top to bottom as the parts seem to fit more easily like that.In terms of usability, it is really sturdy, doesn’t appear in the stitch of a 360 camera (using it with insta360 x R2) and not much longer than the much shorter options.It also has a wristband that can come in handy to avoid having it falling off.I have also used it in sea water without issues (just found that the top would collapse a couple of times when wet so you just need to adjust it in a firmer way). Just make sure to give it a good rinse with fresh water and leave it extended for drying out.

The two biggest benefits of this updated version are the strength and the versatility. It has more sections which makes it stronger so there is less flex when it is at maximum extension. Version one was like a springy fishing rod but version two makes you feel much more confident as it has much less spring even with heavier camera set-ups such as the GoPro Max and the insta360 ONE R with boosted battery and cage. The extra sections also mean that it can open at more lengths so it is more versatile in how you use it so if you wanted to you could attach to a floor tripod and counter weight and use it as a monopod at more or less eye level height. The smaller size when closed is also more convenient for putting in your bag and for carrying around when you're not using it.

This ultra long selfie stick is very sturdy and lightweight. My issue with it is the locking mechanism between the various stages as it telescopes out. They are fiddly to use, making it difficult to get each and every section fully extended and locked into place. And even when you think everything is extended and locked into place, it can suddenly collapse, creating a cascade effect where several of the sections will suddenly concertina in on themselves. This was using a very lightweight 360 camera (Insta OneX2) on the end, so it wasn't the weight of the camera that caused this, it was the way the sections lock into place. I wouldn't want to risk my bigger camera on this pole, because if the pole concertinas in the same way with a heavier camera on it, the jolt as each section collapses could do the camera serious damage. I will continue to use it for the lighter camera, but being wary that it could collapse at any time...

The pole is simple to use. It can be extended to full length and collapsed easily within seconds. It is very study and does not flex much at all making it ideal for photos from a gopro or light camera not getting blur.

Ive tried the original inta360 3m selfie stick and I prefer this one. Original the handle is too fat and you see it in videos.

This is a dire product. It is unclear which poles you are twisting to extend, unclear if they are tightening when twisting then you find out the hard way by pushing down and catching your skin in between the joining gaps. I’m throwing in the bin as I wouldn’t sell with a clear conscience and wouldn’t give to charity as I believe it’s totally unsafe. I’ll buy a different type with the swivel handle type locks but please, I’m an honest man, save your money from this garbage.

I thought it just short. When i extend to max it was very long. I am ready for my next adventure with my camera 360.
