OctagonStar Endstop Mechanical Limit Switch for 3D Printer RAMPS 1.4(6pcs)

I used these on my RepRapGuru i3 3D printing when the OEM one broke and the other OEM got damaged due my ABL Probe malfunctioning. So I ordered these and they were exact replacments and they work too boot! The supplied cable is long enough but I didn't need them because the one already existed. Now I have extra cables to add more cooling fans etc. Overall for as cheap as these are I'm sure you may get 1 or 2 that does not work. So far I am 2 for 2 working, have 4 spares now.

I've used one of these to build a 3D printer z-probe and it's working great. The LED makes it easy to test the switch activation but if you don't care about that feature you could desolder the switch from the board and use it in much smaller spaces. The board is quite big considering the limited (and not truly necessary) feature it adds, but it is an open source design so should be exactly the same as other limit switches you see like this.

Way better than the limit switches they came installed on my Athorbot. The board these are mounted to help with installation and durability.

If you want to use two of these in parallel (NO) on a grbl board you will be disappointed.if you only want to use one of them for homing purposes they work great.I did however change to inductive proximity as they mount cleaner and work for hard stops like I intended originally.To be clear they work just not for the application I needed them

very nice product even has an led that lights up when the endstop it trigger, just beware the size of the endstop i ran into an issue on my Z stop with it being to wide.

Good endstops. They’re standard PCB switches with holes to mount easily. They work well and I haven’t had any issues.

great products at a great price. Im using these to build my 3D printer and they work as expected.
