Does not work over wifi or ethernet. Not discoverable or configurable.
Followed instructions thinking I could configure this. Wrong.Followed instructions to configure and activate, did not work.Tried to connect to the cameras web interface via Ethernet and wireless (using the network listed at the bottom). No luck. Not discoverable on DLink site. This product has been EoL by manufacturer. Will ONLY work if you have the Huges Sage security system which has been recalled and EoL (end of life) by company. So all in all, waste of $10

If you know how to set it up, it will work like a charm!
I already have an official model of this camera which is supported DLink Cloud,so I wanna see how this item works as I was planning to get more of this camera for my home.First of all, I don't really use the Dlink Cloud service and its app. I used to use a 3-rd party surveillance app which is able to connect with different brands of cameras I have.Second, I'm a tech guy, so I do know how to set it up without a DLink app and set it up via its browser-based configuration page, as well as setup a port-forward in the router. Once all got configured, the camera works like a charm. With this price, you have 720p picture, night vision and 2-way audio! That's a steal! So, I finally got 2 of them to cover all the area I needed.p.s. Make sure that you do know how to set it up via the browser-based configuration page and intends working it with a 3rd-party surveillance app.; otherwise, this is not for you.

Requires advanced set up and 3rd party software to use
First: do not but this camera to plug and play. It requires advanced set up and a third party app to use. This is not a typical dlink camera that can use the dlink cloud or app. It was a specialty camera for a now defunct home security package. This camera has a one off dlink firmware and will have to connect to your router then configure via it’s IP address. This is not easy for the average consumer looking for a plug and play/easy to use camera.I have a bunch of older Dlink cameras and a few newer ones that I run through Blue Iris security camera software. I have set each camera up using its dlink browser page Without issue. This one-off camera and it’s older firmware does not play well with Blue Iris but You could probably get it working if you have patience to keep tweaking settings. While BI did detect this camera the default settings didn’t work, and the cameras browser page kept crashing during set up. It’s a very cheap camera but unless you have the patience I’d just spend a few bucks more to get a newer one — The time/date settings only goes up to 2019 lol. I’m sending this one back and getting a less frustrating $30 Wifi camera.

These work, but if you are in the first-time buyers market get something better...
I was skeptical about the ability to use these with my DNS-202L network video recorder as the firmware was modified for a home monitoring system used by another vendor. Luckily, there is only an error when setting them up that you can ignore. While the other DLink cameras would notify the DLink phone app about motion, these do not seem to... though you can view the cameras that are attached to the video recorder via the myDLINK app under the NVR addon, so you can configure it in your Dlink NVR.You can also record on the video recorder and also on a 32GB microsd card... and you can set it up to capture on motion or sound events, as well as continuous capture. The only drawback is now that it is no longer a good value since the new Wyze cameras are only ~25USD each and you can flash them for use with a software NVR, install a 32GB microsd and have them notify you based on fire/smoke/CO detector sounds as well.NOTE: There will most likely never be a firmware update for these... so only purchase if you are sure that you know what you are getting.===Update:I have been using this with an DNS-202L NVR. While both members of this combo are a bit weak, they function well for secondary monitoring (just having extra viewports at home when you are away is very helpful when something happens). With the myDLINK NVR app addon, the phone app can also view any DLINK camera that you can setup on the DNS-202L with notifications if you like. Just realise that: you will need to select a similar model camera for setup on the DNS-202L, as this one is not officially supported; and the DNS-202L is not terribly easy to setup due to its old software requirements (older JAVA version, ActiveX and an old version of Firefox).

I think these are very solid IP camera deals, but probably only for savvy computer folk
These IP cameras are a great overstock deal (Note: written before COVID-19 price hike!), and are working perfectly for me. However, you need to read the fine print carefully. They are not stock D-Link 2132Ls. They are a custom software build for a security application, that have modified firmware. They won't work with the normal D-Link camera app. But, if you want to use them directly with a web browser to view video, they work fine. Unlike some other recent D-Link cameras, they still support more than just Internet Explorer. No problems viewing video on Safari or Chrome. Note: I did have some trouble getting them to work on a non-standard LAN configuration, when moving everything to the same subnet, all was well. Probably just the nature of low-cost webcams, they don't have the most robust networking stack. If you don't know what that means, you might want to stick to normal OEM cameras.

Non-Standard Operating System
Not recommended as has a non-standard operating system incompatible with D-Link.
