I purchased this to set a memorial plaque on and it works perfectly. Real wood of some sort. Rustic looking and simple. Not really big - medium weight. Sturdy on it's legs.  Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Works great! I love that it gives my tea and espresso cups height and puts on a beautiful presentation.

I needed to raise my Aerogarden Harvest up off the radiator because it was making it too warm. I found this little riser and it was the perfect size.The finish is a little rough, and I would consider it more on the rustic side, but it was good enough for what I needed!

I really liked the riser and was really excited to use it in my kitchen; however, the color is WAY different than pictured. I was expecting a light/medium brown color and it came as a very dark brown almost black. My husband almost thought the wrong color was shipped to us. I’m super disappointed.

We use it in the kitchen for the dogs' stuff. I searched in many places and here I found such a wood pedestal.

This riser is so poorly made it looks like a toddler made it. It’s meant to be used for kitchen or bathroom and yet it’s this raw untreated wood that is NOT waterproof. But it gets worse. The glue is so sloppily applied it seen from almost every angle. The stain is atrociously applied and makes it look cheap. Worse mind came chipped and damaged. For almost 20 dollars I expect way better quality. Don’t waste your time better to go to your local home goods store and buy in person.
