VOXON Wireless Doorbell - Twin Waterproof Wall Plug-in Cordless Door ChimeThis is supplied, packaged within a sturdy box, there are two base units along with a waterproof push button. The base units appear to be well built out of decent quality plastic, each have a three pin uk wall plug which powers the unit. There are four press buttons on the left-hand side of the base units which are for setup, volume up, volume down and music selection. The buttons give a good positive click on each push so you can cycle through the various tunes without fear of occidentally skipping any of them. With the buttons being on the left-hand side of the base units it is a good idea perhaps to place the base units on the left most socket so that other appliance plugged in do not restrict your usage of the buttons?The base units look to be quite sturdy and are also quite attractive to look at, by that I mean they do not look cheap. The outer shell of the base units are matt finished white along with a light grey front. They also stand forward by 10mm from the wall socket which should allow for free movement of the socket power switch.The bell push again is quite well built, it's also matt white in colour, there is a small illuminated blue circle around the push button, so easy to find in the dark. The push button gives a positive click when depressed and springs back out again so hopefully no stuck buttons with this? The bell push comes complete with a double sided sticky pad for fixing it in place. If you prefer to use the provided screws you can do so by popping off the cover of the bell push and drilling out the two small indents, although any holes drilled will need to be sealed to keep water out. The bell push does look to be reasonably water tight but it may be an idea to try to place it where it misses the worst of the weather.There are 58 different tunes and chimes included, they do vary in volume as you cycle through them but the volume button takes care of the final selection. If there are times of the day when you do not wish to be disturbed you can set the base units to be Chime only, Flash only or Chime and flash selectable.These have a terrific range, it's claimed to be up to 200 metres? I live in a stone building where the base unit is 30 metres away from the bell push and this has no problem at all communicating that distance. The second base unit is in my garage which again is stone built and is more like 35 metres away, again it communicates just fine.I do like this doorbell set, some of the tunes I don't care for but there are 58 to choose from so there is sure to be something there that takes your fancy. It's also very easy to install - just clean a spot on your door frame with some solvent so the bell push sticks securely, fit the bell push, pull out the small battery protector strip. Then plug your base units in the desired locations, set them up and the whole system is up and running in less than ten minutes.What I do like is that you can select a different chime for each base unit. Indoors we have a fairly short chime selected. In my garage as I'm often using power tools, I have the longest available chime running. Good door bell with plenty of tunes, however, I wished it had some normal bell tunes compared to long clips of songs. Only downside with white bell is you cant always see the blue LED light up and think black would have been better.

Good enough quality for the price, my wife works in our conservatory during the day so it was quite hard for her to hear the door bell when all my Amazon deliveries turn up each day. She had to rely on our two dogs barking at the door to alert her. So I thought I'd treat her to make her life easier, which it has, and it's also stopped the dogs barking too (at the moment anyway).Considering this was one of the highest decibel units on Amazon, I found the chimes do vary in loudness, I found the normal door bell sounding chimes are not as loud, it's only the marching band sounds that are really loud. That being said where you plug in the receivers seem to make a massive to difference, for example I plugged one in at the side of our sofa and it was too quiet for us, I then moved it out into the enclosed entrance hall with a tiled floor and because of the echo it sounded twice as loud, it's also very loud in our conservatory. Don't get me wrong this is fairly loud, I personally would want it just a little bit louder though.There was only about 4 to 5 chimes out of all of them I would ever want to use, some are too long in length and are still playing when you have opened the door. But most of them are really weird tunes for a door bell, from brass bands to birds tweeting, most of them are quite heavy going, I wish they had put more door bell type chimes on there.I managed to rub the word "VOXON" off the front of the push button unit with a wonder wipe and a magic eraser sponge, was a bit of an effort but it did come off in the end and left no trace or marks on the plastic.The manufacturer was unable to give me an indication of how long the push button battery is likely to last, hopefully it will be a couple of years, I just didn't want to have to change it every month or so.As far as longevity goes, we will wait and see............***********Update*********************19 months later and sadly the push button part has stopped working!

Massive number of chime tunes available. Works well. Just feels like cheap material but has lasted quite well so far.

This doorbell is really easy to install and works well.All of the parts are well built and look really good.There is what seems a vast choice of tunes to pick from and the volume is good.We have one of the units plugged in the living room with the other upstairs. Both work well every time.They’ve been going for a few weeks now with no problems whatsoever.I looked at a lot of wireless doorbells before choosing this one and I’m very happy with my choice.I would certainly recommend it.Update......After 7 months, one of the chime units has failed and no longer works. All of a sudden, it’s not the quality and bargain that I thought.I wouldn’t recommend it now.

So easy to use and so many melodies to choose from. Also nice and LOUD, with adjustable volume, and having two speakers is really helpful in our tall old house. We've had ours for several years and it never fails to bring a smile to our faces.

Great product, shame they sent the wrong colour (hense the loss of a star) and it was installed before it was realised. Maybe a few to many pointless door chimes, i just wanted a bell, which should have been the first option really. Other than that pleased with the product.Note for insterlation, the double sided sticker is very sticky and does not remove easily if you get it wrong (or wish to return), however this does mean it stays in place no problem on uvpc doors.
