Probably the best budget enamel
For enameled cast iron I personally wouldn’t do the same things I would with my raw cast iron. I treat them as separate beasts. I’ve made a clafoutis in this (it stuck and it was my fault for not buttering the bottom) and it turned out mostly beautiful. I use this for anything I would braise (acidic or otherwise) in the oven that doesn’t require me to bring out my big 6.5 qt enamel. 2 chicken leg quarters fit with enough room for a sear and then about a quart of liquid without feeling like it’s going to overflow. It’s still heavy transferring from stove to oven but that doesn’t bother me. Making Alton browns chicken parm marinara in this is actually great since it cooks for such a long time I don’t worry about it burning(compared to my all clad stainless I would have to constantly stir).If you do try to just use it like a season raw cast iron pan it’ll most likely stick and leave marks on the bottom that are difficult to scrub out.Tl;dr it’s great for braised items especially if it’s acidic. Easy to clean up. Wouldn’t use it to just sear as it will leave marks but if you add water and boil for a while the marks will come out.

special kind of animal
Sooooo many people reviewing this are mad about it not being perfectly non-stick. It's not teflon so stuff wont slide off, and its a saute/braising pan, so its going to do best with its lid on (no sticking then). If I do a big pan of something that needs to be browned, I just do it, and then splash some wine in there, turn up the heat, and scrape the browned bits off the bottom. What's the problem?! I feel like these people have never cooked before. Also, if you happen to have a particularly hard spot, get out the Bartender's Friend and sprinkle a little on, then scrub and you're all good again. Geez people, its enamel, not God!

Pros and cons...need Popeye around for the cleanup
New to using this enameled cast iron pan but liking it so far. Favorite aspects are the abilty to prep on the stove and finish in the oven (stuffed cabbage), easy, easy, easy, easy to clean no matter what (after fork-lifting it to the sink, as is the case with cast iron if you don’t live with Popeye), and no seasoning! I do have a regular 5qt cast iron dutch oven but I don’t use it as often as I may like to use this one, hence the forklift comment.

Very Disappointed - Really Wanted to Like This Pan
Loved the weight, quality, heat retention, oven proof ability, but everything I cooked stuck to this pan, I even spent a morning cooking 1 egg at a time using different heat settings, oils, butter, Pam, etc. and not once did the egg not stick. Made several dinners with same result and finally had to return.

Beautiful and Functional
This versatile and beautiful pan blends in perfectly with the vintage flame colored enameled pans it joined. It is heavy and works great as a heavy skillet, braising pan, or small dutch oven. It goes from stove top, to oven, to table. Love it.

Chips too easily; poor quality
Ordered twice: first time it came poorly packaged and chipped in a couple places on base and lid. Sent it back for an exchange and the second one packaged ‘better’ but insufficient enough to allow it to be chipped, again. First, these shouldn’t chip that easily, which means the enamel on these is poorly adhered or heated to improper temps. Second, packaging people need to be trained on how to properly insulate items do they reach their destinations unscathed. I will save up to buy a real enameled cast iron piece of equipment.

Defeats the purpose
The 3rd washing, it began to stain permanently. From that point on, I've not been able to cook anything in it without the food sticking. Makes no difference if the pan has been oiled, or if you even add water. Food still sticks.I paid a hefty penny for 3 easy clean meals. That was a waste. As much scrubbing and soaking as I have to do to clean this, I may as well have just purchased the standard retro cast iron skillet

Beautiful and amazing quality
The sauté pan is amazing quality and had no damage when it arrived.I cooked meatballs in the oven and thereafter transferred the pan to the gas burner to cook the vegetables in the sauce from the meatballs. It worked perfectly, I am very impressed. Just be careful not to touch the handle without oven gloves as it will burn you.

Hoy recibí mi sartén! Y Wow sorpresa! Es mucho mejor de lo esperado! El color es hermoso! No le hace justicia la foto! Es vibrante el color! De muy buen tamaño! Ya estoy ansiosa por usarlo! Aún no se si pegará la comida! Pero hasta ahora estoy satisfecha con mi compra! El precio súper bajo para la calidad que veo y no le pide nada a la marca LC. Ayer lo pedí y hoy llegó como siempre Amazon hace entregas súper rápido y venia muy Bien empacado(Soy la esposa opinando pues yo soy quien lo usará y disfrutará)

It arrived damaged
It came without the knob attached to the lid, the lid had a big chunk of paint missing. I tried to salvage it by trying to re-attach the knob because honestly the paint chipped isn’t a huge deal; but it’s impossible. I don’t know why it would be sent out in that condition. I really wanted to love it but sadly this will be returned, I was going to repurchase that item but if the product looked like that before even being used it’s probably a hunk of junk and poorly made.

Buena opción si quieres un sartén de hierro que no sea tan caro
Todo bien con el funcionamiento del sartén. Podría sellar mejor la tapa pero por el precio creo está bien. Mi único problema es que tras sólo un mes de utilizarlo ya tiene rayones en la parte de abajo. Creo es por la parrilla pero se me hace muy rápido para que le pase eso sobre todo porque sí la he estado cuidando.

Way to heavy
This is a nice size but way to heavy to manage when hot and full of food. The coating chips and the white inner surface stains with use. Does not work as non stick very well either.
