Very soft bonnet!

These silk bonnets must be the rage. Have bought two for my daughters. They love them!

Does not fall off and is comfortable to sleep in. It works so much better than the satin bonnet I was using before. My hair doesn’t feel as dry now and my curls are actually curlier in the morning

This is not as much a review for this particular silk bonnet as it is a review of silk bonnets in general and my limited experience. This may be a really nice bonnet (it most certainly looks well made), but I cannot say, as I do not have another bonnet to compare it to. I guess, not everyone can wear these, as is my case. I have very silky, baby fine and straight hair that is prone to static and fly-aways. I wanted to try out silk to see if it would eliminate the static. As pure silk pillowcases are very pricey, I thought, I would try a silk bonnet instead. Even though I have long hair, there is too much room in the bonnet, and it was difficult to keep it inside the bonnet. As the hair is silky and slippery, it kept on sliding out. While sleeping, the entire bonnet would slip off within minutes. I followed the instructions on how to secure it to the head, but no matter how tight I wrapped it, it would slip off. Then there was the added discomfort of constriction when pulling it tight. I ended up, returning this, and I thought, I would leave this review for those folks who may have my kind of hair and are contemplating to invest in a silk bonnet.

I'm so impressed with the attention to detail in the packaging alone! The pink fabric is so soft, thick, and luxurious! Worth every penny.

This product comes with a small square of silk to be used as a burn test to verify authenticity. I imagine that if I burnt this, it would be silk. Unfortunately, the bonnet and scrunchie are not made of the same material as the burn test as it is significantly more sheer and softer than the bonnet which appears to be made of Polyester and more of a satin product. I’m not sure of the point of adding something to verify how authentic it is. Makes any sense when it clearly isn’t the same material as what you’re about to use. Sketchy for sure.

This is a nice-quality item. It’s well-made. The seams are straight and well-sewn, and the elastic is evenly stretched around the opening to the bonnet, The fabric is a good weight (not too heavy or light), and it is very soft. It feels like mulberry silk. I love the feel of the fabric. The light blue a very peaceful color - good for bedtime.I have a fairly large head and the bonnet is amply-sized. My hair is straight and fine but even if it was curly, the bonnet would be large enough.I know that using silk does really make a difference in reducing frizz and friction between hair, head, and pillowcases. When I used a silk pillowcase in the past (or in this case a silk bonnet),, my hair and hairstyle both look a lot better in the morning.It is comfortable to have on my head. Before I put it on, I was a little concerned that the inner seam around the elastic band might be uncomfortable or itchy. But it isn’t. It’s soft and comfortable.The long band that wraps around and ties in the front or back is made from what seems like a stretchy polyester-type fabric. It’s long enough to wrap around the head and back to the forehead to tie in a bow (or reverse if one wants the bow at the nape of the neck). I understand the purpose of the band, as the material in the bonnet is slick and slides off one’s head quite easily. However, for me personally, the band isn’t comfortable enough to wear. The bow flops in my face if tied at the forehead, and it’s too bulky at the neck. Everybody’s head and neck structure is different and unfortunately I don’t think the bonnet is well-suited for mine.The other thing I like less about this bonnet is that, even with the bow tied, the bonnet still slides off my hair. In fairness, I do have very fine, straight, slick hair. All kinds of items slide easily out of my hair: barrettes, hair elastics and bands, masks with elastic around the head instead of the ears, etc.I think this is a fair value. It is a nice item.PS — It also has two silk loops attached for threading the band through. And the package contains a nice scrunchie that’s made of the same fabric and color. It’s too slick for me to use but would be beautiful in thick, curly hair.

I love this sleep bonnet. It is made of silk, NOT Satin. It is soft and comfortable and does not fall off. So worth it.
