Is it expensive for a thermometer? Yes. Is it necessary? No. Is it a beautiful addition to the Landen Rimless Low Iron tank? YES!! If you care to splurge on the tank, then this thermometer is well worth it. It’s a graceful, clean addition to the setup. Be aware that it only has markings in Celsius.

I purchased this to get a better sense of the temperature in my aquarium. The aquarium has a plastic border around the top of the glass in order to accommodate the cover and lighting feature. The opening on this thermometer is not wide enough to hang from an aquarium that is thicker than a pane of glass. It is useless. And to make matters worse, I cannot return it to Amazon because it contains "flammable liquids or gases."Basically I'm out $13 plus tax for an item I can't use and can't return.IMPROVE the product description by indication that it CAN ONLY be used on aquariums with no casings for covers or lights. Also indicate that this product is not returnable.

Great if beautiful and simple is your goal. Crystal clear and no suction cups

I purchased the clear model. I wanted a thermometer that was barely noticeable so it's perfect! Mostly blends in against the background and I forget it's there. Aesthetically it's even better than the ADA glass thermometer.However, mine is precisely 1 degree off (-negative) accuracy. I've compared with the ADA glass thermometer, several digital thermometers, and my auqarium heater. They all register same save for the Landen. Consistently, EXACTLY, 1 degree lower.Packaging looked like it was sitting in storage for years. The plastic was yellowed to opaque and came apart when I opened it.It's not so exact with sizing (mine, 6mm) either. There's a mm or so of give in thickness. Could be a pro or con depending on your view.Nevertheless, I enjoy the look of it and I instinctually account for the discrepancy in temp so it's still a 4 star for me.

I bought this because of how awesome it looks however it is 10 degrees lower than the actual temperature, verified by 2 other thermometers. So, while it doesn't show the correct temperature I still use it to gage temperature changes because I like how it looks.

Who ever could have thought that a simple, slim, cheap, accurate glass thermometer could have been so hard to find? Look no further.The glass design simply hangs over the top of rimless aquariums. It’s barely noticeable unless you’re looking for it (which is a great thing for those who hate clutter in their aquariums). Perfect for nano reefs or planted tanks.Only improvement I guess would be making a version in Fahrenheit for the US market not using metric. Even then a simple conversion via a phone app or simple memory becomes effortless after a few times.

Sleek, minimalistic but only in Celsius. Would buy more for our other tanks if it was available in Fahrenheit. Like the blue line look better than the ones made with red. Looks better in our tank.REVIEW UPDATE: the blue reading line split into 2 sections. Giving inaccurate readings. Only been a few days. Unable to return or exchange. Disappointed . This sleek concept has potential but needs some improvements with quality and f/c options.

The media could not be loaded.  Works great, it’s very well made. Though, if you have trouble reading small print. I’d order a larger size or just avoid buying all together. Other than that, it is a 5star.
